NOW ENROLLING

Fall enrollment is now open for Big Brothers Big Sisters of SWLA. Parents and guardians with youth, ages 6 – 18, should visit http://www.bbbsswla.org/enroll-a-child/ to enroll their children. We are also in need of adult mentors. For more information on how you can get involved as a Big Brother or Big Sister, visit http://www.bbbsswla.org/volunteer.

Over the last couple of months, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lone Star provided match support in SWLA for our programs until our organization could resume services. We're happy to announce our team has transitioned back to work after recovering from Hurricane Laura and Delta. We are so appreciative of Lone Star stepping up to help us continue defending potential during this difficult time. Our office phone is working and the team has started connecting with each Big, Little, and family we serve.

We have sustained a significant loss to our BBBS building along with fundraising and donations.  Our building will be closed for the long-term until proper safety and repairs can be made. Match interviews are being conducted on-site in the gym while following COVID-19 safety procedures and social distancing.

We continue to provide mentoring support to our Bigs, Littles, and families, as our mentoring has never stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now the aftermath of Hurricane Laura and Delta.

We implore you to donate directly to our Mentoring Mission because without YOU, we may not be able to sustain our mentoring services in SWLA or mentor more youth in a time where they NEED us the most. The cost to enroll a match and support a Little is $1,600 per year. Any amount you can give will help them have a better future. Donations are being accepted at www.bbbsswla.org or via PayPal to [email protected].

To offset the total loss that the organization is facing, we have partnered with Shop SWLA to sell BBBS branded t-shirts starting at $20.00. Proceeds in the amount of $5.00 from each sale will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of SWLA mentoring programs.
