High School Mentoring Program
High School Mentoring

This program allows High School Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors to serve as Bigs to elementary students in a structured, facilitated class twice a month. The High School Bigs assist their Littles with homework, engage them in leadership and self-improvement activities, address anti-bullying techniques, teach the importance of improving relationships with others, and most importantly help to build the child's self-esteem and confidence.
Requirements for a High School Mentor: Must be referred by your school counselor or principal, must have parent/guardian approval and signature, must provide a resume and application, must commit to monthly monitoring and activities.

Calcasieu Parish: Sam Houston High School, Moss Bluff Elementary. Bell City HS/Elementary
Jeff Davis Parish: Lacassine HS/Elementary, Jennings HS/Elementary, Welsh HS/Elementary
Beauregard Parish: South Beauregard HS/Elementary
Cameron Paris (just added 2020): South Cameron HS/Elementary, Big Lake HS/Elementary
