Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2025 raises over $100K for Swla youth

Lake Charles, LA — Lanes were lit and spirits were high as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana’s signature fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, rolled past the $100,000 mark this year — a record-breaking investment in the future of local youth.

The funds will fuel powerful mentoring programs right here at home: after-school tutoring, weekend open gym at the BBBS campus, summer learning opportunities and ongoing mentoring on school campuses across Southwest Louisiana.

“This incredible outpouring of support proves what happens when a community comes together for kids,” said Jillian Cormier, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana. “Every strike, every spare, and every dollar raised goes directly toward changing lives — giving young people the guidance, opportunities, and confidence they deserve.”

The celebration also spotlighted the top fundraising teams whose efforts set the pace for success:

  • Lotte Serves – $12,769

  • The Glow Sistas (CSE) – $2,100

  • Radiant Rollers (CSE) – $1,159

With the community’s help, Bowl for Kids’ Sake continues to be more than a game — it’s a strike for brighter futures.
